My February TVK Box

Last month I was completely shell shocked to find out that I'd won a giveaway from The Vegan Cookie Fairy - an amazing box of vegan (and all gluten free BTW) snacks and a fantastic little pot of hand cream. I was so impressed with the contents, especially the chocolate covered pumpkin seeds, I decided to subscribe to the The Vegan Kind because it's so awesome to receive a surprise box each month, it's like Christmas twelve times a year!
As well as the vegan food and drink goods, you may also receive sample or full sized cruelty-free beauty and eco-friendly household cleaning products! I couldn't wait to open my second box when it arrived and I wasn't disappointed. One of the things that I most liked about receiving the box was being introduced to companies I'd never heard of before. But I'd heard of the company which makes my favourite product from the box - the Organic Surge sugared almond shower gel.

I adore their products but haven't been fortunate to try any for myself. I've always bought them for presents. Now I have a shower gel all to myself which is right up my street because it is free from SLS and parabens and all other nasties!

I couldn't wait to try the Inspiral Raw Kale Chips. I received the Baobab and Onion flavour. Now you might now be joining me in wondering what baobab is? Well apparently it's the latest find in the superfood world!

These were eaten within minutes, no - seconds! Extremely tasty and moreish, I will definitely be looking out for them again!

The first time I heard about Sweet Freedom Choc Shot was when my daughter messaged me a photo of a bottle she'd seen in the supermarket. I was quite curious, wondering if it was high in fructose, but it's not. Made from fruit extracts, it's low GI / GL - no energy highs and lows, suitable for diabetics and no artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives - sounds too good to be true.

The packet of cinder toffee from the 1066 Cake Stand is very pretty and very appealing but perhaps a little too sweet for my liking so it will be gifted to a very happy home! However, if you live in the UK somewhere near to Hastings, you will be extremely interested to know that they operate two kitchens, one which is for their regular cakes and one which is for gluten free goodies! I wish I lived nearer.

The final product in the box was a blackcurrant Braw fruit bar, a perfect addition to the box and so very tasty! The company, based in Scotland, use certified gluten free oats, which is not always the case in these types of bars.

As well as all of the above, a recipe card is added to the box which I think is a great idea.
