My November TVK Box

Two TVK boxes arrived at my door this time - oh my! Check out the beauty box underneath, I can't reveal the contents since it's a Christmas present but if you're interested in getting one for yourself, you need to subscribe here. The contents of my regular box were well up to expectations and of great quality - which isn't a surprise because the contents of all the boxes I've received to date have never failed to please!

This month The Vegan Kind celebrated their First Birthday, CONGRATULATIONS! I've been subscribing since the February when I was extremely lucky to win the January Box in a blog giveaway and I was so impressed with it, I just had to subscribe. Since I joined the company has grown and grown and grown! If you want to join in the fun and have your very own surprise box delivered to your door once a month, what are you waiting for!!!! They are delivered World WIDE!!!! To receive a box in December you have 8 days left. Pop over to their site to find out how .

I love, love, love quinoa and this ready cooked express organic quinoa from Quinola was one of my favourite items this month. No nasties in this pack - the ingredients are very simple - 83% Organic Pearl Quinoa,15% Organic Red Quinoa, 1.6% Organic Sunflower Oil, 0.4% Salt AND there's four other varieties to choose from :

  • Pearl & Red Quinoa
  • Pearl & Black Quinoa
  • Quinoa & Split Peas
  • Spicy Mexican Quinoa

I really want to try the Mexican quinoa, it sounds delicious! This pack saved me a lot of food prep time one evening, I just added the contents of this packet to some onion, courgettes and butternut squash which I'd fried in a pan with some dried herbs, gave it a stir for a couple of minutes and it was ready - such a quick and easy meal. I've noticed it's easily available on line so I'll be buying it again, it will make life SO much easier - fast food - the healthy way!

The little tub of caramel above from Consider it was made especially for this box. The company make artisan indulgent chocolate bars and truffles which are all gluten and dairy free. The sea salt caramel chocolate bar is by far the most popular and following many requests to produce the caramel on its own, this product will be going on general release soon but The Vegan Kind Monthly Subscription Box subscribers landed the opportunity to try it first! Though not for me - way too much sugar - judging by the comments on FB, it's turned out to be a much loved item in the box.

I have ADORED Organic Surge products for ages so this bodywash was a fantastic find in the box. Have you tried any of their products? Made from naturally-derived, intensely nourishing ingredients and deliciously fragrant essential oils, Organic Surge products are NOT tested on animals and are 100% free of harsh chemicals – no parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, no artificial fragrances or colourants and no genetically modified ingredients AND they don't cost the earth. I also like that they are a charitable company..
"Every single Organic Surge product sold contributes to our efforts to support Africa’s most vulnerable children. Integral to the Organic Surge brand are our ethical ambitions. Our ultimate aim is to develop a highly successful brand which helps in our efforts to release children from poverty, enabling them to live enriched, meaningful lives."
All their products are wonderful and make awesome gifts. In fact I tend to buy more to give away than I do for myself. The first time I actually managed to try one of their products was when I received some shower gel in my February Box. I am so happy to have another product just for me!

Rebel Kitchen flavoured coconut milk drinks are unbelievably delicious, they live in my fridge all the time. The ingredients of this little carton are : pure spring water from Somerset, coconut milk, date nectar, cacao and orange oil - that's all and it's bursting with natural chocolatey orange flavour - lush! Other flavours in the kids range are banana mylk and choco mylk and for the adults, slightly larger cartons of chocolate mylk, matcha green tea mylk and chai mylk. From their website it looks like they're going to be selling snacks soon, I can't wait to see what they are!

This Coconut and Macadamia Primal Kitchen Bar is devine! Easily one of my favourite items from the box. Also included in their range are :

  • Almond and Cashew
  • Brazil Nut and Cherry
  • Hazelnut and Cocoa

The ingredients are pure - simply dates, coconut, cashews, macadamia nuts and almond oil - nothing else! Suitable for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet and IMO much, much tastier than the current best selling bar on the market, these bars are ready to take over the world! Very soon to be launched in the United States and already for sale in South Africa, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Slovakia, Hong Kong and UAE they are the perfect energy snack. Easy to get hold of from Superdrug and Ocado in the UK, they're worth every penny!

I'm a HUGE fan of Ten Acre Crisps since all their products are gluten free and vegan but I can't bring myself to eat these! I don't particularly want to be reminded of the taste of chicken guys, even if they are vegan! So this packet will be given away to someone who will appreciate the flavour. Some exciting news though - I've just noticed on their site that they're also making popcorn in some quite amazing flavours - mmmm Sour Cream and Chive!

Also included in the box every month is a recipe card, this time the recipe is for Pumpkin Spiced Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate from The Vegan Cookie Fairy.
