The Primal Pantry Bars, Grain Free and SCD Legal

Primal Pantry Bars

Not all fruit and nut bars are created equal as you will quickly realise once you've taken a bite out of one of these delicious bars. "The Primal Pantry" was the brainchild of Suzie Walker. Struggling to find clean, healthy snacks for her daughter, she decided to create them herself from the fruit and nuts in her own pantry. The positive feedback she received encouraged Suzie to start her own business, which is now flourishing and expanding to a place near you!

Primal Pantry Bars

So what makes these bars extra special? In a nutshell (forgive the pun) it's all about the passion and commitment to use only real ingredients in their products. Gluten, grain, refined sugar, soya, dairy, GMO, vegetable oil free and suitable for vegans, I was especially excited that 3 of the above bars are also suitable for followers of The Specific Carbohydrate Diet. It's so difficult to find something to eat while you're out and about if you are on such a strict diet and this product ticks all the boxes.

Primal Pantry Coconut and Macadamia Bar

Significantly larger than the current market leader, these bars don't skimp on flavour. Made from only 4 to 6 real ingredients, the company won't compromise on quality, only pure ingredients make it into these bars which is evidenced by their taste as well as their texture.

It's also interesting to note that :
  • The dried fruit doesn't contains vegetable oils, sugar or sulphites as commonly found in other snack products. The company have even managed to source organic cherries that are free from vegetable oil and sugar.
  • The bars are hand made and cold pressed (not heated) in the UK.
  • The organic coconut does not contain sulphites (preservative) which is commonly used in dried coconut products.

Hazelnut and Cocoa Primal Pantry Bar

Which one is my favourite? The Hazelnut and Cocoa... it's so rich and chocolatey.. almost impossible for me to eat in one go.

Disclosure: I received these products from The Primal Kitchen for review purposes. All opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.
